Dainkund Peak Trek

Dainkund Peak is also known as the Singing Hill which is perched at an elevation of 2755 m above sea level in Dalhousie. Dainkund Peak is the highest peak where you can get a 360-degree view into the depths of the beautiful valleys. The name Dainkund is said to have been derived from Dain – Kund, which means Lake of the Witches. It is believed that in old days this mountain was the residence of witches. The locals worship Pohlani mata goddess who killed the resident witches. It is advisable to spend some time at the temple, enjoy the beauty, soak in the legend of the goddess. Dainkund is also a famous place for short trekking near Dalhousie. Trekking is the most common path to get to the top and is a beautiful experience, with great views and fresh cool mountain air.
